World Watercolor Month is Officially Here!

Started by Charlie O’Shields, creator of the popular blog, Doodlewash, World Watercolor Month is a global charitable event during the entire month of July. A portion of proceeds goes to supporting arts education through The Dreaming Zebra Foundation. The nonprofit organization encourages children to “embrace their individuality, to express themselves creatively, and follow their artistic dreams,” according to The Dreaming Zebra Foundation website.

Based in Portland, OR, the Dreaming Zebra Foundation provides access to the arts for children in need across diverse communities. Support is provided through charitable donations of art and music supplies to individuals, schools, and other nonprofit organizations serving youth and the arts.

Ready, Set, Paint!

So for the next 31 days, get inspired to paint your world in watercolor. And better yet, you can support arts education for kids in need at the same time! But even if you can’t donate, you can still join in the fun. Share your watercolor paintings, goals or musings across social media, with the official #WorldWatercolorMonth. Network will also feature tons of watercolor works throughout the entire month on our Instagram, @artistsnetwork. Participate by tagging us using #ArtistsNetwork_WCM.

And if you need a little inspiration, Doodlewash provides 31 art prompts to help make your daily commitment to watercolor even more fun.

Show us your Work!
